How dark can I legally go in New Zealand?
Front side windows must keep at least 35% total light transmission once the film is on — and that figure includes your factory glass, which is often already tinted. Behind the driver it depends on your vehicle class: an ordinary car keeps 35% there too, while a 4WD or ute can go darker. Your branch measures the glass first, then tells you which tiers are legal on your car. NZ tinting laws explained →
How long does a car take?
A full tint on a standard sedan is two to three hours. PPF takes considerably longer: a front package is three working days and a full-body wrap is five working days. After tinting, leave the windows up for two to three days while the film cures.
What does the warranty actually cover?
Automotive window film carries a lifetime warranty. Paint protection film and architectural film are both covered for ten years. All of it protects against bubbling, peeling, cracking, delamination and colour change. Because Zivent manufactures the film, your branch raises the claim directly with the factory instead of going through a distributor.
PPF or ceramic coating first?
PPF first. It is a physical layer that absorbs stone chips; a coating is chemical and only helps with cleaning and gloss. The usual order is PPF on the impact areas, then coating over the top.
Do you do homes and offices too?
Yes — the same branches fit architectural film. Heat and glare control for west-facing glass, privacy and frost film for bathrooms and meeting rooms, and safety film that holds glass together if it breaks. We measure on site and quote free.
Can you come to me?
Our Auckland City branch is mobile-only and covers the CBD and Central Auckland. The other seven branches are workshops, which is what you want for PPF — that work needs a controlled, dust-free bay.
