Clear safety films from 50 µm to 300 µm.
Added Protection for Glass Surfaces.
Safety film helps strengthen glass performance and supports safer home, office and retail environments.
Safety film range at a glance
Safety, anti-graffiti and anti-scratch films should be selected by purpose, thickness and project conditions.
Clear appearance across listed safety films.
High UV protection.
Additional 4 mil and 6 mil options.
Extra protection for vulnerable glass areas.
Safety and security films are selected where glass needs added support against breakage, impact, accidental damage or occupant risk. The right specification depends on the glass, site and project goal.
What makes it different?
Built from Zivent global product positioning and adapted for New Zealand customer questions.
Glass holding support
Safety film can help hold broken glass together after impact.
Risk reduction
Useful for homes, offices, schools, shops and exposed glass.
Commercial applications
Can support safety planning in public-facing or vulnerable areas.
Site-specific quoting
Thickness and specification should be selected based on glass size and project needs.
Privacy pairing
Can be combined with privacy or solar control goals depending on product choice.
Professional installation
Edge preparation and clean application are critical for safety film performance.
| Point | Detail | Customer Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Added glass protection | Improved safety and risk management |
| Use | Homes, shops, offices, schools | More secure glass environment |
| Quote | Site-specific | Requires photos and measurements |
Best use for safety film
Recommend safety film when customers ask about glass breakage, exposed windows, shopfronts, child safety or additional security support.
- Shopfronts
- Schools and offices
- Bathroom or internal glass
- Street-facing glass
- Safety-focused projects
Common questions before installation
Does safety film make glass unbreakable?
No. It can help hold broken glass together, but it does not make glass unbreakable.
Do you need to inspect the site?
Photos and measurements are needed, and some jobs may require site inspection.
Can it be combined with tint?
Depending on product and glass type, safety and solar/privacy goals can be considered together.
How to read building film specifications
Architecture film should be chosen by heat control, privacy, reflection, visibility and glass safety requirements.
VLT
Visible Light Transmission. Higher VLT means a clearer, brighter appearance. Lower VLT gives a darker privacy-focused look.
IRR
Infrared Rejection. Higher IRR helps reduce heat felt through glass, especially on exposed north and west-facing windows.
TSER
Total Solar Energy Rejected. A higher TSER is useful when heat reduction is the main goal.
VLR
Visible Light Reflection. Higher exterior reflection can improve daytime privacy but gives a more mirror-like appearance.
SHGC
Solar Heat Gain Coefficient. Lower SHGC generally means less solar heat enters the room.
Safety Thickness
Safety films are measured in mil and µm. The correct thickness depends on glass size, risk level and site purpose.
