Our recommendation: Full car protection is ideal for premium vehicles, but it is not necessary for every customer. For most New Zealand drivers, we strongly recommend the Full Front Package because motorway stone chips are common and the bonnet, bumper, guards, headlights and mirrors are the highest-impact areas.

Prices are a guide only. Final pricing varies depending on vehicle model, panel size, glass size, film coverage, glass size and installation requirements.

PPF Installation Process

Professional preparation makes the protection last longer.

PPF installation is not just applying film. A clean workshop, correct preparation, accurate alignment and final inspection are what create a premium finish.

Wash & Decontamination

We clean the vehicle surface and remove contamination so the film can bond cleanly to the paint.

Paint Inspection

Paint condition, chips, scratches and panel edges are checked before installation begins.

Pattern or Custom Fit

Film coverage is prepared to suit the vehicle shape and selected package coverage.

PPF Installation

The film is carefully positioned, stretched and fitted to protect high-impact painted surfaces.

Edge Finish

Edges and curves are finished carefully for a clean look and long-term durability.

Final Inspection & Aftercare

We inspect the finish and provide aftercare guidance so customers know how to look after the film.

Why Zivent

Cheap film can cost more later.

New Zealand sunlight is strong. Low-grade or no-name film may look fine on day one, but the real test is how it performs after years of UV exposure, heat, washing and daily driving.

What many vehicle owners have seen: low-grade film can crack, fade, yellow, shrink or become difficult to remove. In severe cases, adhesive failure can mark the surface underneath and make later correction expensive. Warranty support can also be difficult when the product source or installer network is unclear.
Low-Grade / No-Name Film

Looks cheaper at first, but carries long-term risk.

  • UV & Heat Breakdown Strong NZ sun can accelerate fading, yellowing, cracking and film failure.
  • Removal Risk Poor adhesive or aged film can become difficult to remove and may require extra labour.
  • Paint & Surface Concerns Bad film or failed adhesive can create expensive correction work later, especially on painted panels.
  • Weak Warranty Support If the product source is unclear, warranty support can be hard to claim years later.
Zivent TrackDay PPF

Built as a tested film brand, not just a cheap roll of film.

  • 3,000hrs QUV Tested PPF TrackDay PPF is tested for UV resistance and yellowing resistance under long-duration QUV testing.
  • High Gloss & Instant Self-Healing Selected TrackDay PPF products help reduce fine swirl marks and light scratches with self-healing surface technology.
  • 10-Year Warranty Zivent PPF is backed by a 10-year warranty for customer confidence.
  • NZ Conditions Focus Designed for strong sunlight, road debris, motorway driving and daily vehicle use in New Zealand.

Choosing PPF is not only about today’s price. It is about protecting the vehicle’s paint, resale value and finish over the next several years.

Customer Questions

Common questions before installation

Is PPF worth it on a new car?

Yes, especially for high-impact areas that collect stone chips and scratches early.

Does full body PPF include the roof?

Roof or glass roof inclusion depends on the package and vehicle. It should be confirmed in the quote.

Can PPF self-heal scratches?

Light surface marks can reduce with self-healing technology depending on product and damage depth.

PPF Spec Guide

What do the PPF specifications mean?

PPF should be selected by finish, healing type, thickness and the area you want protected.

Healing Type

Heat-Healing or Self-Healing describes how fine surface marks can recover. TrackDay Premium is positioned with 3-second instant healing performance.

Gloss

Gloss shows the surface appearance. Clear PPF options are high gloss, while TrackDay Ghost is satin matt with lower gloss.

Thickness

Measured in µm and mil. Thicker film can give a stronger protection feel, but installation quality and coverage also matter.

Clear vs Satin Matt

Clear PPF keeps the original paint appearance. Satin matt PPF changes the look while adding protection.

Coverage

PPF performance depends on where it is installed. Full front protects the highest impact areas; full body protects more painted panels.

Glass Roof Film

TrackDay Sky is for glass roof and panoramic roof areas, with IRR 90.0%, UVR 99.0% and 145µm / 5.7 mil thickness.

Installation quality matters as much as the film.

A clean PPF result depends on preparation, coverage design and edge finishing. Zivent focuses on practical coverage for real road use, with wrapped edges where suitable and careful panel preparation before installation.

For selected vehicles and panels, badges, trims or handles may be removed where safe and appropriate to reduce visible edges and help create a cleaner finish. Final coverage depends on vehicle shape, paint condition and access.

Our PPF process

Vehicle inspection and coverage recommendation.
Paint-safe preparation and surface cleaning.
Pattern alignment, edge planning and film installation.
Heat setting, final check and aftercare guidance.

Protects against stone chips

Motorway driving, gravel, construction zones and daily road debris can damage exposed paint. PPF helps reduce the chance of permanent paint chips.

Reduces swirl and wash marks

Light surface marks from washing and detailing often appear on the film instead of the paint, helping preserve the original clear coat underneath.

Helps preserve original paint

Original factory paint is valuable. PPF helps reduce repaint risk and supports a cleaner, better-preserved finish over time.
