Let the film
take the stone chip.
A clear urethane layer over the panels that get hit. High gloss, self-healing, and a 10-year warranty. TrackDay Premium closes fine marks in about three seconds with no heat.
A layer that takes the hit instead of your paint
PPF is a thick urethane film laid over the panels that get hit — bumper, bonnet, fenders, headlights, mirrors. Stone chips land in the film. Fine swirls close up again — with warmth on TrackDay Fit, or in about three seconds with no heat at all on TrackDay Premium, Ghost, Nite and Style.

How much of the car to cover
Coverage is the price driver, not the film. Most people protect the front and stop there, because that is where the damage happens.

PPF or ceramic coating first?
PPF first. It is a physical layer thick enough to absorb a stone chip. A coating is chemical — it helps with washing and gloss but will not stop a chip. The usual order is PPF on the impact areas, then coating over the top.
How long does it take?
A front package is three working days. Full body is five. It is slow work because every panel is cut and laid by hand in a dust-free bay, and the edges have to be wrapped rather than trimmed on the paint.
Will I see the edges?
Not on a proper install. Edges are wrapped around the panel where the shape allows, so the film ends out of sight. On panels where that is not possible the cut sits in a body line.
Does it really self-heal?
For fine swirls and wash marks, yes. TrackDay Fit needs a little warmth to do it — a warm wash or a sunny day, the way most PPF works. Premium, Ghost, Nite and Style do it in about three seconds with no heat at all. A scratch deep enough to cut through the film is permanent; taking that hit instead of your paint is the whole point.
Can it be removed later?
Yes. It comes off without damaging factory paint, which is the point — the paint underneath stays original for resale.
